Ontario Dance Champion Becomes NAO Top Student

NAO Top Student (Class of Sept 2015)

You do NOT need to have prior health education to become a great manual osteopath. Dasha Veprjitska is an example. She is an Ontario (Canada) dance champion (she is a Ballerina) who enrolled at the on-campus Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice program of National Academy of Osteopathy in Toronto, right after graduating from high school. She is in the 4th month of the 12 months DOMP program.

Today she had her practical exam done (which included taking history, informed consent, palpation, static joint play, range of motion, and osteopathic examination and treatments) and she was perfect! No mistake at all! Perfect execution of treatments and examinations. She achieved the top mark in the practical exam.

Her osteopathy practical exam was videotaped and is available to be watched by our registered online students.

It is a myth that you need to have prior health education to become a great manual osteopath. Anyone who is dedicated and spends enough time practicing the techniques can become a great manual osteopath.

Great job Dasha! We are so proud of you.
