Enjoy Massage?

Then consider becoming a manual osteopath.

Massage is one of the many techniques manual osteopaths use to treat pain. If you enjoy massage, you would love a career as a manual osteopath....

Manual osteopathy is one of the top 25 occupations in demand in Canada (as reported by CIBC). There is a severe shortage of manual osteopaths in Canada. Ontario needs 2,500 more manual osteopaths. Currently there is a waiting list to get osteopathic treatment across the country. In Halifax patients wait up to 6 months, in London (Ontario) the waiting list is over a year.

By becoming a manual osteopath you help Canadians have access to this wonderful effective health profession.

There is zero unemployment in this profession as all graduates find employment or open their own clinics. Over 95% of insurers in Canada accept manual osteopathy. New graduates are generally hired at $30 per hour and established practitioners with over 5 years of practice make on average approximately $90,000 per year.

National Academy of Osteopathy offers a diploma program in osteopathic manual practice (DOMP) that takes from 4 to 8 months to complete, depending on your prior education (we offer in-campus in Toronto as well as online programs worldwide).

Tuition starts from $5,026 (set to increase by 10% in 2015). NAO is the largest provider of manual osteopathic education (hands on treatment, no surgery, no medications). It teaches in 65 cities across 35 countries.

NAO is the first and only osteopathic school to be accepted as an affiliate member of Ontario Hospital Association (OHA).

We are accredited by a number of organizations including the Ontario Osteopathic & Alternative Medicine Association, College of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners of Ontario, Ontario College of Osteopathic Rehabilitation Sciences, Council on Manual Osteopathy Education, International Osteopathic Association, Canadian Manual Osteopathy Examining Board & the International Osteopathy Examining Board amongst others.

NAO graduates are permitted to work in all Canadian provinces, and elsewhere internationally including USA, Europe, Africa & Asia.
