Fixing the technical issue permanently!

Every 6 months we are almost doubling the size of our dedicated video servers because with increased enrollment, more students log-in to our dedicated video servers and the videos slow done. This occurs frequently as we keep growing.

To fix this situations, starting June 01, 2017 we have made it mandatory for all students for the next term to purchase external hard drives from NAO & NUMSS.

This would fix this issue once and for all. Students then use the online video server only when we add new videos or when they are away from home and do not have access to the hard drive.

Online vs On-campus Education

Which one is better? The answer may surprise you!
Here is a research article by the US Department of Education that indicates online students perform better than on-campus students. "The meta-analysis found that on average, students in online learning conditions performed modestly better than
those receiving face-to-face instruction."

We teach online as well as on-campus education. However our on-campus students have full access to all our online video lectures as well.

A letter from a National Academy of Osteopathy student in Uxbridge, Ontario:

Hey Dr. Pourgol;

………It’s been an incredible journey thus far practicing and building a business... My decision to study Osteopathy at NAO was one of the best! You have truly given me the power and ability to carve out my own path in life. The tools that I have acquired though your guidance has already changed the lives of many!!! I am forever thankful :)

I am ready to continue my education through NUMSS. I am contemplating between the DO or the DO/BSc (osteopathy) combo…….

Thanks so much!!

Manipulation vs Mobilization

Cervical manipulation is not better than cervical mobilization. Through clinical work we have noticed that mobilization is far superior to manipulation. This research shows that both help neck pain and that neck manipulation is not more effective than neck mobilization.

Student Loans for Osteopathic Education

Many banks, trusts, credit unions, and financial companies in Canada, US, Europe and elsewhere provide non-governmental private educational loans to students with a good credit history towards tuition payment of our osteopathy program.
You will need a letter from us which you can ask our school registrar to provide prior to applying for a loan.
The acceptance of the loan application depends almost entirely on your credit score and the bank. Some banks do provide student loans and some do not. Prior to applying it is best to ask the bank if they do provide student loans.

So why did I chose osteopathy?

A post from an NAO student:
So why did I chose osteopathy?
Visiting the National Academy of Osteopathy for a treatment was the best decision I ever made. That visit opened my eyes to a bigger and brighter future as I knew this was the perfect opportunity to enliven my mind into such an intriguing field where I knew I was highly motivated to succeed in.
The online videos and interactive classes allowed me put my hands on skills to use and still let me work at my own pace. I was able to get help when I needed it the most and also have the chance learn so much more! This program did not only teach me about osteopathy but also the fundamentals of opening my own business, so I can continue to strive and succeed in my future endeavors.
It is an honor to be taught by such knowledgeable and passionate teachers. Each professor brought such unique expertise and wisdom to share. Every day was filled with new ideas and skills I could use in my dream business. After completing this program, all I can say is positive and warm things about this school. I would definitely recommend every student to look into NAO’s Osteopathy program.
